Aspen, CO – Aspen offers a number of intriguing events and activities to close out the season in the waning days of summer. Attend the Jazz Aspen Snowmass Labor Day Festival, test your high-altitude lungs on a scenic hike or bike ride or simply marvel at the jaw-dropping beauty of an Aspen mountain sunset.

Martha’s Vineyard, MA – Enjoy a relaxing beach weekend on the shores of historic Martha’s Vineyard before the New England fall chill rushes through. Stroll the streets of this famed maritime town and tour regal lighthouses and historical sites, dine on lobster rolls and take in the classic American salt air.

Dallas, TX – Head to the ever-warm heart of the Lonestar State for your final wave of summer heat this year in Dallas. Aside from various food and music festivals this weekend, Cowboy Stadium plays host to the first game of the 2012 NCAA football season, hosting the University of Michigan and 2011 Champion Alabama Crimson Tide.

Chicago, IL – The windy city will blow you away this Labor Day, with its famed (and free!) Chicago Jazz Festival. The city also hosts several other family-friendly festivals and both hometown baseball teams play at home this weekend. Lastly, head to historic Navy Pier for their grand fireworks display and 50 acres of attractions.

New York, NY – As if you needed more of a reason to head to the greatest city on Earth (well, second greatest maybe to our hometown of Aspen), perhaps the start of US Open tennis in Flushing Meadows Park will tip the scales. If not, simply tour any of the city’s dozens of museums, landmarks and restaurants, take in a Broadway show or gorge yourself on delicious NY pizza – Labor Day is all about you!
