  • Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW, KDFW) – located about 18 miles from Dallas on the way to Fort Worth. There is one fixed base operator (FBO)-DFW Airport Board General Aviation-which serves passengers of private charter who would prefer to avoid the hustle and bustle of the main concourse.
  • Dallas Love Field (DAL, KDAL) – is another commercial airport in the area, about 7 miles from downtown Dallas. However, this airport is substantially less hectic than the International Airport, and has several FBOs for the benefit of private aviation.
  • Dallas Executive Airport (RBD, KRBD) – previously known as Redbird Airport – is located 6 miles southwest of the central business district of Dallas. The executive airport serves only general aviation and acts as a reliever airport for Dallas Love Field.
  • Addison Airport (ADS, KADS) – is found in the town of Addison, about 9 miles north of central Dallas. FBOs based here include Million Air, Mercury Air Services, Landmark Aviation, and Atlantic Aviation Addison.
  • Collin County Regional Airport (TKI, KTKI) – is located 2 miles southeast of the central business district of McKinney, TX, and about 31 miles northeast of downtown Dallas. Cutter Aviation is the single FBO available at TKI.

What is the best airport to fly into when I charter a jet to Dallas?

The two main options in Dallas are Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) and Dallas Love Field (DAL). Love Field is by far the easier of the two airports due to the focus on charter flights as opposed to the commercial traffic at Dallas Fort Worth. Love field is also about 15 minutes closer to downtown Dallas.

I am flying out of Dallas with a group for a Hunting trip, can we bring our rifles with us?

Hunting rifles can be flown with as long as documentation for the rifles are on board. The captain may ask to check to make sure all firearms are not loaded and that no ammunition is accessible during the course of the flight.

My Family and I are chartering a flight from Washington DC to Dallas for the Football game, what airport should we use?

While the preferred airport in Dallas is Love Field, Dallas Fort Worth is a lot closer to the stadium. Love field is recommended if you are staying in Dallas overnight. If I you are flying in just for the game than Dallas Fort Worth is a bit quicker.
