The Cessna CitationCJ2 was first delivered in 2000 as an upgrade in size, speed, and power to the popular CJ1 private jet. The improved CJ2 quickly became one of the most efficient light jets in retail charter and in the private sector due to its balance of efficiency and performance.

For flights under 3hrs with six passengers or fewer, the CJ2 is an excellent choice. Flight times are comparable to most other light jets while hourly costs and fuel burn are often significantly lower.

Aboard the CJ2, six passenger seats are set in center-club style. Two more passengers can find seating by either joining the pilot in the cockpit or utilizing the belted, flushing lavatory, which can be separated by a curtain partition. Baggage that is not required in-flight can be stored in the enlarged nose and tail cone external cargo space.
