This can be achieved easily by chartering a private jet to Aspen or Vail. With the White River National Forest and other designated wilderness areas around Aspen, there are plenty of places to hike, bike, raft, dogsled, flyfish, and more. The city also has several health clubs and spas to help you rejuvenate and relax after a busy day of adventuring.

ASPEN

Aspen proudly boasts “big city” culture in a small town fashion with many art, music, and dance performances and sights. Every summer the town hosts the classical Aspen Music Festival. The city also offers a wide variety of shopping opportunities, via international fashion shops on Galena Street, Aspen’s two shopping malls, many high-end boutiques, and various outfitters.

Few of the numerous stylish hotels, resorts, and lodges of Aspen are the Aspen Meadows Resort, the Boomerang Lodge, the historical Hotel Jerome, L’Auberge d’ Aspen, and the St. Regis Resort Aspen.

Aspen’s local airport is the Aspen Pitkin County Airport (ASE, KASE), also known as Sardy Field, which is about three miles northwest from the downtown area. The airport is so close to the slopes, it boasts that you can “be skiing within minutes of your arrival.” The airport also has an onsite limousine service—Snow Limousine.

VAIL

Vail is best-known as a top-notch ski destination, and there is a wealth of other activities to be enjoyed there as well. From sledding to golf, and horseback riding to strolls in the park, possibilities abound no matter what your recreational tastes.

King Air Series Aircraft – Now Available at evoJets

November 1st, 2011 by

The newest additions to evoJets’ online aircraft database are some luxurious yet inexpensive executive turboprops – The Beech King Air series. These fantastic aircraft are excellent choices for short private charter trips, around two hours or less. Some great examples of trips for which the King Airs are perfect options would be Denver to Aspen, Las Vegas to L.A., Manhattan to the Hamptons, and short trips within Florida. For flights longer than two hours, the savings achieved by using these aircraft begins to diminish, as they are slower than the otherwise more expensive alternatives available. Read on to learn more about the individual aircraft in the King Air Series.

The King Air 90 can carry up to seven passengers in its pressurized cabin with in-flight accessible baggage hold. Four passengers can sit comfortably in the aircraft’s club-seat configuration. A fifth individual seat is available aft of the club seats, and a sixth space can be made using the belted private lavatory. While a seventh passenger could potentially ride in the cockpit with the pilot, evoJets does not allow any flights with less than two pilots for safety precautions. The cabin’s shape is referred to as “squared-oval” and is known for its potential to increase cabin space. Refreshment cabinets are also featured aboard the aircraft.

The King Air 200 has basically the same fuselage and cabin, but with exterior aerodynamic changes and system upgrades. It comfortably seats six or seven passengers. The most recent version of the 200 uses electronically tuned vibration absorbers to decrease noise throughout the cabin and flight deck. The AirCell ST3100 Itridium satellite telecommunications systems is also available aboard many of the newer aircraft produced from 2005. All King Air 200s have increased cabin pressurization over the earlier series.

The King Air 350 typically seats eight passengers comfortably in a cabin nearly three feet longer than that of its predecessor. Its seats are often arranged in double club configuration with retracting worktables between each pair. Up to three more single seats may be added to the layout. The stretched cabin also includes two more windows on each side, making 14 total instead of ten. The King Air 350’s cabin features a private lavatory and built-in refreshment center. The latest development of this aircraft includes such cabin enhancements as the Rockwell Collins Venue integrated cabin management system, the Beechcraft FlexCabin system for easier cabin rearrangement, and reduced cabin noise.

Now that you know a bit more about each one, be sure to consider these superb King Air Series next time you’re looking to charter a private jet for a short trip.

Honda takes off – In a flight !

November 1st, 2011 by

The Honda HA-420 – The first aircraft available to the general aviation market to be developed by the Honda Motor Company. Which makes us wonder, what does Honda not have their hands in? The project ultimately started in 1986 when Honda began its research in Japan on both small aircraft and jet engines. Research continued on these aircraft up until 1999 which brings us to a total of 13 years of pure research and model building. Only in 2002 does Honda begin to conduct high altitude tests of the HF118 engine which continue all throughout 2006. In March 2008, Honda Aircraft Company, Inc. announced the expansion of sales of its advanced light jet Honda Jet throughout North America with the selection of retail sales and service representative for Mexico and a direct sales and U.S. service support plan for Canada. And now Honda has announced that the first FAA-conforming Honda Jet light business jet has achieved a maximum speed of 489 mph !

The new corporate jet is described as an “advanced light jet”. Sales brochures highlight better fuel efficiency, larger cabin and luggage space and higher cruise speeds than other aircraft in its class. The difference between the Honda Jet and other corporate jets will be in the attention to details. Honda Jet will be more luxurious, making the pilots and passengers feel like they are flying a sports car and not a sedan. Better design makes the Honda jet one of the most super efficient jets ever!

Honda has already completed its second FAA-conforming aircraft, which already has undergone numerous structural tests required for commencement of certification flight testing. While Honda enters the flight test program with its conforming Honda Jet, the company also nears completion of its aircraft production facility on its Greensboro campus.

Here at evoJets, we are more than excited for the release of the Honda jet to the public. For the past few months we have had numerous clients call asking about information and dates on when they would be able to charter this one of a kind aircraft. The overall consensus is that people are excited about the HondaJet, but then again, who wouldn’t be excited for an exceptionally fast airplane that burns less fuel fully loaded with state-of-the art technology and design, we sure are!

If you wish to experience a private flight in the HondaJet or any other aircraft, please call us on 877-970-5387 or Request a Quote for your preferred choice of private jet. For more information about evoJets, our founders and team, and private aviation topics, visit us on Twitter and Facebook !

Gulfstream Jets – The Most Preferred Private Aircraft

November 1st, 2011 by

One of the most comfortable, luxurious, and classiest ways to travel, whether just across a few states or around the world, is to fly by private jet charter. Among the myriad of choices available to jet charter customers, and especially here at evoJets Charter, some of the most popular private charter aircraft are from the Gulfstream Series. Many feel that Gulfstream builds the very highest in top quality aircraft and the company has quite a following among the savvy jetset, casual charter customers, and pilots alike. Read on to find out more about these exceptional aircraft and why they are the some of the most preferred among evoJets customers and in the industry.

Gulfstream G150

The Gulfstream G150 provides excellent value in its mid-size class, with superior range at top speed, sophisticated avionics, and a truly comfortable cabin for up to 8 passengers. Passengers will enjoy generous stand-up headroom, legroom, and aisle space in any of several possible cabin configurations. A Honeywell environmental control system keeps the cabin atmosphere pleasant and stable. The G150 uses the high thrust Honeywell TFE731-40AR engines, with improved fuel efficiency. These, along with a number of aerodynamic improvements over the G150’s predecessor, help make it one of the fastest mid-sized business aircraft available, at a maximum speed of 630 mph. The aircraft’s maximum range is nearly 3400 miles, which is among the longer possible ranges for mid-size jets.

Gulfstream G200

The super-midsize Gulfstream G200 was originally produced as the IAI Galaxy. Its large cabin can be arranged for 8 to 10 passengers with alternate seating for up to 18, and seating can be configured in a double club layout, a combination club and divan arrangement, or a combination club, divan, and conference layout to suit travelers’ needs. The cabin has a stand-up height of 6 feet 3 inches, large plush seating, and sunny oval windows. A dual climate control system provides travelers with fresh air rather than recirculated air. The G200’s technology and entertainment systems include Airshow flight info, an ICG-200 Iridium SATCOM phone, a DVD player and individual headphones/controls for each passenger. The external baggage hold can store 125 cubic feet or 2400 pounds of luggage. Two fuel efficient Pratt & Whitney PW306A engines give the Gulfstream G200 exceptional transcontinental range.

Gulfstream G450

The Gulfstream G450 was created next in the G-IV long-range series of aircraft, after the G400. This upgraded heavy jet has similar seating arrangements to its predecessor, typically allowing seating for 12 to 16 and providing ample space for travelers to move and stretch. The maximum capacity can hold up to 19 passengers, with optional berthing for six. One improved cabin feature is the use of an advanced soundproofing system to increase passengers’ total comfort. Other interior amenities may include individual entertainment systems, some office equipment, a well-equipped galley, full-width lavatory, and more. New speed records have been set by the G450, which can operate at a maximum speed of Mach 0.88 or 561 mph. The aircraft has an increased range of up to 5002 miles, making intercontinental flights easy and comfortable. These statistics are made possible by the two Rolls Royce Tay Mark 611-8C turbofan engines by which the aircraft is powered.

Gulfstream G500

The Gulfstream G500 was originally produced as the G-V and is an ultra-long range business jet with a large cabin to match. A variety of seating arrangements are available for 8 to 19 passengers with separate areas for dinner, entertainment, work, or rest. The cabin of the G500 offers a combination of cozy club seats, four-place divans, and conference/dining groupings set in a maximum of four distinct sections. The cabin area can be divided into three different temperature zones and the environment is enhanced by a fresh air system and sunlight streaming through 12 oval windows. The G500 entertainment system includes DVD and CD players, LCD monitors, and an Airshow info system. The cabin also features a full-size galley and a spacious lavatory with shower. Earlier engines have been replaced with newer BMW/Rolls Royce BR-700-710-C4-11 turbofan engines, providing the G500 with a super long range.

Gulfstream G550

The Gulfstream G550, or G-V-SP, is an even longer range upgrade of the G500. The G550’s cabin is much the same as the previous model, seating anywhere from 8 to 19 passengers in a variety of spacious, comfortable arrangements. Four sections combine club seating, lengthy divans, and a dining/conference area with a fully-equipped galley and a luxurious private lavatory. Technological office features may include satellite communications, a fax machine and printer, wireless LAN, and on some aircraft, a broadband link for internet access. The G550 uses the same transcontinental-flying Rolls-Royce BR710 turbofan engines as the G500, but with a greater fuel capacity to give it that extra stretch of range.

If you wish to charter any of the above Gulfstream Aircraft, please call us on 877-970-5387 or Request a Quote for your preferred choice of private jet. For more information about evoJets, our founders and team, and private aviation topics, visit us on Twitter and Facebook !

G650 Plane Crash in Roswell

November 1st, 2011 by

On Saturday, April 2nd, a Gulfstream G650 flight test aircraft crashed during takeoff-performance tests at the Roswell International Air Center in New Mexico. FAA spokesman Lynn Lunsford said the aircraft had just taken off from Roswell’s main runway when the tip of the plane’s right wing brushed the ground. The pilot tried to recover, but the aircraft’s landing gear collapsed, sending the plane sliding. “The aircraft skidded for quite some distance,” Lunsford said. “It came to rest 35 to 40 feet from the tower.” The plane burst into flames just yards short of the air traffic control tower. Previously, it had been in the pattern for at least two hours and was believed to be conducting brake testing at the time of the accident.

There were four people aboard the aircraft, all confirmed dead on scene – experimental test pilots Kent Crenshaw and Vivan Ragusa and technical specialists David McCollum and Reece Ollenburg. All four were residents of Savannah, GA, where Gulfstream is based.

“We mourn the loss of our colleagues and friends and extend our deepest sympathies to their families. The Gulfstream team has already rallied to support the people these men left behind, and we know that the local and aviation communities will do the same,” said Joe Lombardo, president of Gulfstream Aerospace. “On their behalf, we ask for your kindness, support and understanding as they, and the rest of the Gulfstream family, grieve the passing of these fine professionals.”

Gulfstream, the National Transportation Safety Board, and the Federal Aviation Administration are all investigating the accident. The G650 model is Gulfstream’s newest luxury plane, set for delivery sometime next year, and the aircraft that crashed was being used for certification testing. At the time, there were five test aircraft, one of which flew at near the speed of sound last year.

According to Gulfstream’s website, the new G650 is the company’s “ultra large cabin, ultra high speed” model. It is designed to carry four crewmembers and up to eight passengers as far as 7000 nautical miles nonstop. The model can cruise at Mach 0.85 on longer trips, or cover shorter distances at speeds of up to Mach 0.925, flying on its two Rolls Royce BR725 engines.

If you wish to charter the new Gulfstream G650 or any other private aircraft, please call us on 877-970-5387 or Request a Quote for your preferred choice of private jet. For more information about evoJets, our founders and team, and private aviation topics, visit us on Twitter and Facebook !

Hire a Private Hawker 800 to Vail, CO

November 1st, 2011 by

Vail, CO, is best-known as a top-notch ski destination, but there is a wealth of other activities to be enjoyed there as well. Having come a long way since the Victorian era, the town has gained significant popularity as a magnificent vacation destination for all seasons. From rafting to golf, and horseback riding to strolls in the park, possibilities abound no matter what travelers’ recreational tastes may be. The only possible hindrance to reaching this lovely destination could be the remote location. But the simplest, most enjoyable solution is to book a private charter jet, such as the Hawker 800.

This aircraft has raised the bar for performance and comfort, with further design improvements over its popular predecessor, the Hawker 700. While the layout of the Hawker 800’s cabin is much the same as the previous version, the interior was redesigned to make more efficient use of the available space. The Hawker 800’s fully adjustable, 360-degree-swivelling seats are usually arranged in a four-place club configuration with an extra forward-facing seat across from a three-space divan. The aerodynamic changes made to the Hawker 800 have decreased drag and raised fuel capacity and lift, and the updated Garrett TFE731-5R-1H engines boost range and field performance.

Travelers who charter the Hawker 800 to Vail will arrive to find many exciting activities and places in which to enjoy their vacation time. Just a few of the venues and locations available include Bearcat Stables, Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park, Adventure Ridge, Rock Gardens Rafting Adventures, Spraddle Creek Ranch Horseback Riding, Trout Trickers, Nottingham Park, Meadow Mountain Tubing Hill & Snowmobiling, Timberline Tours, 4 Eagle Ranch, Vail Golf Club, Colorado River Guides, Gore Creek Fly Fisherman, Lazy J Ranch, Betty Ford Alpine Gardens, Vail Nature Center, Breckenridge Whitewater Rafting, and Donovan Park.

Vail is also home to a number of wonderful arts and cultural sites, nightlife spots, festivals, and other entertainment, including the Vail Jazz Foundation, Sandbar, Master’s Gallery, Spring Back to Vail, The Cardinal Gallery, Vail Culinary Adventures, The Sanctuary, DeMott Gallery, Bravo! Music Festival, ViewFinder Gallery, Samana Lounge, Vail Film Festival, The Red Lion, Mickey’s Piano Bar, and Vail Fine Art Gallery.

Flights to Vail typically arrive at Eagle County Regional Airport (EGE, KEGE), also called Vail/Eagle Airport or the Eagle Vail Airport, which is located four miles west of Eagle, CO, and about 35 miles west of Vail by car. The airport’s single fixed base operator (FBO), Vail Valley Jet Center, provides general and business aviation services and has been given the title “The Ritz-Carlton of FBOs” by Aviation and Business Journal.

Charter Pilatus PC-12 for Luxurious Air Travel

November 1st, 2011 by

Business jets are quite a luxury for many people, but there are alternatives for short flights with few passengers. An executive turboprop can also be an excellent choice for private charter flights. The Pilatus PC-12 is a fine example of an executive charter turboprop aircraft which can ferry business men and women over distances up to 2500 statute miles.

Manufactured by the Swiss company ‘Pilatus’, the PC-12 is a six to nine seat turboprop engine comparable to the King Air 200 twin. It is designed with capabilities for combining passenger seating with cargo delivery. Charter flights to business cities such as New York, Teterboro, or Austin are quick and comfortable in this executive turboprop aircraft.

The PC-12’s roomy cabin can be arranged in several ways to fit customer needs. Up to eight executive seats can be grouped in double club configuration for in-flight business, or rearranged for private rest. Some private aircraft may offer a two or three seat bench in place of two seats, or seats can be removed for extra cargo. The cabin is equipped with fitted cabinets and tables, and the baggage area is accessible during flight.

The cabin is not the only dynamic aspect of Pilatus PC-12 jet charter. It is capable of using grass and unfinished runways of varying lengths. A single Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-67B turboprop engine powers the PC-12. Pilatus has recently introduced an updated version of the aircraft, calling it the PC-12 NG (for next generation), that runs on the more powerful Pratt & Whitney PT6-67P engine. This provides the NG with a higher maximum cruise speed and improved climb performance. Other upgrades for the PC-12 NG include enhanced Honeywell Primus Apex integrated avionics, an automatic cabin pressure control system, and a dual-zone temperature control system.

The Pilatus PC-12 is as luxurious aircraft as it is flexible, providing comfort and speed to savvy private jet charter travelers. Whether you have business in Chicago or San Diego, or want to enjoy a weekend in Miami or Seattle, consider chartering a Pilatus PC-12 for your next flight.

If you wish to charter aircraft with evoJets, please call us on 877-970-5387 or Request a Quote for your preferred choice of private jet. For more information about evoJets, our founders and team, and private aviation topics, visit us on Twitter and Facebook !
