Known to millions as the Great American Race, the Daytona 500 has thrilled NASCAR fans from around the world for over 50 years. With over 15 million TV viewers and around 200,000 in attendance, Daytona draws a mammoth crowd and is one of the nation’s biggest annual sporting events. The 2013 Sprint Cup Series will kick off in early February, but the competition’s main event goes down in sunny Daytona, Florida on February 24.
