Hot Spots for July 4th

Thursday, December 1st, 2011

July 4th weekend, a weekend that many can relate to being a well deserved vacation period to spend with their family and friends continues to be one of the busiest weeks for evoJets. Our clients, being more excited than ever have planned to visit some of the hottest spots in the world in celebration of the main patriotic holiday in the country.

Approximately 1.56 million Americans are likely to travel by air over the holiday weekend, that’s up 8.2 percent from last year alone ! Undoubtedly, evoJets has felt this incline in private jet travel more so than ever. Some of these spectacular places include both relaxing and luxurious towns such as Aspen, CO.

Aspen, celebrates Independence Day with a whimsical twist. Approximately 20,000 local residents and visitors come together to honor the nation’s birthday in true American style. Festivities include a parade, U.S. Airforce jet flyby, concerts, a kid’s bicycle rodeo, and spectacular fireworks on Aspen Golf Course.

Our personal favorite over at evoJets would have to be none other than Nantucket ! Flying our clients out multiple times a year we have certainly heard multiple stories of the endless amenities this treasure of a town has to offer. There are lot of things happening on Nantucket; from family BBQ’s, day on island beaches, Town sponsored fireworks, and my personal favorite – The Norman Rockwellesc water fight on Main Street that includes dueling fire trucks, face painting, watermelon eating, kids bike parade and so much more.

If you’re looking for something on the warmer side Harbour Island is that place for you ! Harbour Island in the Bahamas has been voted online as the most tranquil and relaxed destination to get away to. Whether people will be flying in private or sailing up to the cost on their private yacht you can certainly expect July 4th weekend to be one of the busiest weeks on the Island.

We at evoJets want to wish everyone a happy 4th of July weekend, and would like to thank our clients for always helping us stay one step ahead on the best places to go. We look forward to hearing everyone’s unique stories coming back from vacation getaway! Now that evoJets has shared some of the most exciting experiences with you, it’s now your turn. We would love for everyone to share with us on how you guys spent your holiday weekend.

Last Minute Flight to LA in a Hawker 800XP

Thursday, December 1st, 2011

Need a last minute flight to a business conference in Los Angeles ? Or just hoping to glimpse a few stars in Hollywood? Charter a Hawker 800XP with evoJets Jet Charters, and we’ll take care of everything. Traveling through “The City of Angels” will feel like a breeze when you have access to our services at small FBOs away from the main terminal.

The Hawker 800XP comes with an updated engine and performance improvements over its predecessor, the Hawker 800. The cabins of the two aircraft remain nearly identical, but the 800XP’s 45 cubic foot baggage compartment is now accessible during flight. The aircraft’s fully adjustable, 360-degree-swivelling seats are usually arranged in a four-place club configuration with an extra forward-facing seat across from a three-space divan, and can be reconfigured for a maximum of 14 seats. The cabin also comes with fold-out work tables, a refreshment area with hot and cold drink facilities, and an enclosed lavatory. Two updated AlliedSignal TFE731-5BR engines power the Hawker 800XP, increasing cruise speeds, range, and climb performance, and reducing the necessary length for takeoff fields.

Also known as the “Entertainment Capital of the World,” Los Angeles was named the world’s eighth most economically powerful city by Forbes.com in 2008. As entertainment is such a big part of Los Angeles culture, you will never run out of things to do and sights to see.

Los Angeles offers some incredible luxury hotels to accommodate all the stars, celebrities, and big names in and around the city. You will want to take advantage of these classy lodgings at such locations as Hotel Bel-Air, Beverly Wilshire, The Beverly Hilton, Casa del Mar, Shutters on the Beach, Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills, The Mosaic Hotel Beverly Hills, Chateau Marmont, Sofitel LA, and many more.

Several airports offer service to the Los Angeles.
Los Angeles International Airport (LAX, KLAX) is located about 16 miles southwest of downtown Los Angeles and is one of the top ten busiest airports in the world. LA/Ontario International Airport (ONT, KONT) is approximately 38 miles east of downtown Los Angeles, in the city of Ontario, CA.

Van Nuys Airport (VNY, KVNY) is the world’s busiest general aviation airport, located in Van Nuys in the San Fernando Valley section of the city limits of Los Angeles.

Bob Hope Airport (BUR, KBUR), the closest Los Angeles airport to Griffith Park and Hollywood, is three miles northwest of the central business district of Burbank, CA.

Long Beach Airport (LGB, KLGB), also known as Daugherty Field, is about 23 miles southeast of the central business district of Los Angeles, and offers better access to the region’s more southerly coastal attractions such as Palos Verdes and Huntington Beach.

John Wayne Airport (SNA, KSNA) is located in Santa Ana, CA, and provides the best airport access to Disneyland, the Honda Center, and Angel Stadium of Anaheim.

Whiteman Airport (WHP, KWHP) is a small general aviation airport located in the Pacoima district of Los Angeles, about one mile east of downtown.

Chino Airport (CNO, KCNO) is located three miles southeast of the central business district of Chino, CA, and about 43 miles southeast of downtown Los Angeles, and is home to two aircraft museums, the Planes of Fame and the Yanks Air Museum.

Summer Getaways by evoJets !

Thursday, December 1st, 2011

Not sure where to go this summer? Or simply looking for an out-of-the-ordinary destination for your summer vacation? Well, evoJets has sent thousands of clients all around the world who have been more than happy to report back to us with some of their most exciting trips, and evoJets is here to share them with you!

As we enter our peak summer period for 2012, the demand for private jet charter has certainly stayed solidly on track. Looking a little closer into this summer’s demand for top destinations we can see that beach or resort destinations within Europe are dominating the top most popular destinations list. After all, Europe’s natural beauty and its mention are incomplete without its spectacular beaches. Ranking in at number one, by visitor’s choice, would certainly have to be the Biarritz Beach, located in France. The beach is very well-ordered giving you fine reasons to enjoy Biarritz. It has partitioned swimming and surfing areas, cafes, resorts, and bars. The famous Biarritz festival has been attracting people from all over the world for nearly forty years now.

If you consider yourself to be more of the party kind, then Ibiza is the place for you! A vacation in Ibiza, Spain is definitely one heck of a lifetime experience one will never ever forget. Ibiza is known for its all night party atmosphere, but it also offers white sandy beaches and crystal blue waters of the Mediterranean Sea. Lots of young people visit Ibiza Island looking for its legendary nightlife and popular clubs and bars, which cater for the entertainment accordingly. There is also another side to Ibiza with 72 beaches, wonderful countryside and plenty of great restaurants to choose from making it a great all-purpose holiday destination.

In comparison with the US the trend tends to be seemingly different, with the top list being scattered between various destinations. Since many of these getaways are brief, major U.S. cities such as San Diego, Los Angeles and Honolulu typify the dream beach vacation for many U.S citizens. While some cities didn’t make the cut due to triple digit summer temperature (Phoenix), other cities managed to overcome the heat issues, perhaps because of their great summer cuisine. Kansas City, with plenty of summer street festivals complimented by a cool ocean breeze, landed within the top ten pick thanks partially to its summer-friendly barbeque.

There is no question that each country has something special to offer, and by picking any of these places you are bound to have a great time. It has definitely been a pleasure sharing these locations with all of our readers, and we certainly look forward to hearing all of your experiences. Happy traveling, from evoJets!

Cut Your Private Jet Travel Costs and How

Thursday, December 1st, 2011

Summertime is a great time to travel ! Everything is green and lovely, the beach is inviting, and the urge to break away from your daily routine and take a vacation is stronger than ever. But private jet travel can be expensive ! – Especially in the summer when fuel prices are soaring and everyone else is looking to go on a trip as well. However, there are a few ways you can definitely cut costs and still enjoy your vacation this summer. Read on to find out how !

One of the best things you can do to save on aircraft charter travel is to be flexible with travel dates and times. The more flexible you are, the more options you have for taking advantage of empty-leg flights, discounted one-way pricing, and last minute deals. And prices for both flights and hotels may be lower on non-peak days like Tuesdays and Wednesdays, in contrast with the highest peak travel days – Fridays and Sundays.

Another idea which has gained a lot of popularity in recent months is to keep your travel local, or at least within the country. Take a form of satiation and fly to nearer destinations, and not only will your flight legs be shorter, but you will also use less fuel – and fuel is definitely expensive right now ! Private jet pricing is based on the number of hours in the air, so keep that down and you are bound to save. International fees can also be really high. Depending on your destination and the type of aircraft, fees for a single international flight can be anywhere from $ 1,500 to $ 4,500. So save your foreign trips for another time and instead explore some great American destinations this summer.

A final recommendation for saving money during your travels is to bring your own meals, at least on the flight. Catered food on board private jets is usually quite expensive and frankly, it’s not always very good! I have yet to find a catering company whose prices are actually justified by the quality of the food. A plate of finger sandwiches for six passengers can cost hundreds of dollars! Ridiculous, am I right ? I know of a client who ordered a turkey sandwich with chips and lemonade on a flight the other day – the cost was $ 83. In general, you are often better off ordering food from your favorite local restaurant and having it delivered to the aircraft, so that it’s on the plane and ready to go when you arrive. Or you might go to your local store and pick up a couple things for the flight. Quite a few of our clients will stop into Whole Foods on their way to the airport in order to avoid pricey catered meals.

Private Jet Charters on the Rise

Thursday, December 1st, 2011

The economic downturn of the last few years hit hard everywhere, especially in the aviation industry. But now at last, the numbers are beginning to show what we all long to see the return of customers and rise of market trends that show growth once more. The private jet charter industry is at long last seeing an increase in the demand for private jets.

This summer the industry is beginning to recover, and demand is up, exceeding last year’s peak, although still below pre-downturn numbers. The on-demand charter segment is strong and prospects are looking good for the near future. Meanwhile, the demand for heavy jets is down, and travelers who normally would have chartered a heavy aircraft such as the Gulfstream G450 or G550 are opting to select a jet from the super-mid or mid category. Jets like the Cessna Citation X, the Gulfstream G200, and the Hawker 900XP are more popular with such customers this summer.

As a company which specializes in on-demand charter, evoJets Charter is seeing higher private charter demands as well and a brighter future ahead. The current market trends are reflected in our growing numbers each day. Despite the crush of the economic recession, evoJets has experienced consistent growth over the last four years and has had a record 1st quarter this year. With flights to popular cities all over the U.S. and around the world – including New York (JFK; LGA; TEB), Miami (MIA), Los Angeles (LAX; ONT; VNY), and Toronto (YYZ; YTZ) – evoJets is in the perfect position to help customers satisfy their growing need for on-demand jet charter flights.

America is on the road to recovery and, slowly but surely, so is the private jet charter industry. Barring another economic disaster, we should continue to see upward trends and the smiling faces of returning customers.

Obama bashes Taxes for Private Jets

Thursday, December 1st, 2011

In a news conference, the president has stated that he believes it’s a “fair decision” for private jet owners to give up tax breaks on their private aircraft. “I don’t think that’s real radical” Obama said. Although this may not be as radical as the president makes it sound, Obama’s knowledge or lack thereof in the aviation industry leads him to believe that anyone making a salary within the $ 250,000 range is flying private.

President Obama’s remarks on business aviation were misleading and made it seem as if the industry does not support the economy enough as it is. The NBAA stated that the aviation industry is one of the remaining few industries that produces much-needed exports and contributes positively to the nation’s balance of trade. Additionally, most companies relying on a business airplane are small and mid-size companies. Obama happened to mention corporate jets six times in his remarks, while Aerospace industry tells Obama to cool it on bashing corporate jets. It makes it seem like the president has a vendetta out for corporate jet owners.

Being able to fly private without paying excessively should be a privilege available to all. Where as previously private jets may have been written off as an expense, the tax breaks may no longer be available, making it financially irresponsible/undesirable for an individual to own a private jet. However since the need to fly privately is still a necessity to many, evoJets may offer a more desirable option in the form of jet charters.

For information about booking a private jet charter flight with evoJets, please call us on 877-970-5387 or Request a Quote for your preferred choice of private jet. For more information about evoJets, our founders and team, and private aviation topics, visit us on Twitter and Facebook !

Private Jet Charter Safety Guide

Thursday, December 1st, 2011

Aviation safety has never been a more important issue than today. When it comes to jet charter companies, many customers may wonder how to be sure they are not taking extra risks with their safety or that of their family, coworkers, company, or business prospects.

But fear not, private charter jets are often even safer than larger commercial jets. Charter service providers have to abide by stringent safety and security regulations equal to those followed by major airlines. The size difference between the aircraft and the number of passengers means charter operators always know who or what is on their jet.

The safety, security, and confidentiality of our members are evoJets’ top priorities. We work with only the top Air Carriers, exceeding FAA Part 135 requirements, to ensure the highest level of safety. Aircraft personnel are rigorously screened through background checks and many charter operators’ standards are even stricter than federal regulation requires.

On top of rules imposed by the FAA, evoJets also insists on further inspections by independent auditing companies such as Wyvern and ARG/US. These companies have their own safety requirements which all jet charter operators are expected to adhere to.

Two of the very first conditions listed in the ARG/US General Requirements are:

  • Management must have clearly defined safety as the number one company priority.
  • Safety is never sacrificed to satisfy passenger concern, convenience, or cost.
  • evoJets satisfies both the above mentioned conditions.

If all of these reassurances do not fully assuage your fears, then further inquiries can also be made to absolutely assure any flight will be a safe one. Here are some important safety questions to ask us or any Jet Charter Service Providers when considering doing business with them:

  • What does the operator’s safety record look like? Have there been any aircraft accidents or incidents? If so, what measures have been implemented to solve the problem and increase safety?
  • Does the charter operator have audit ratings from an independent third-party organization? What were the audit results and how do they compare to other private charter providers?
  • What types of security procedures are used? Charter operators may be hesitant to detail their security procedures, but customers can still ask about what they will need to do to comply with the security program.
  • How often does the aircraft crew receive training and does it include more rigorous training beyond the minimum requirements established by the FAA? Is the training, both initial and recurrent, conducted in a simulator or the actual aircraft?
  • What is the charter service provider’s policy on crew flight time and work limits? If a customer trip will go beyond the crew flight limits, what would be done to provide the flight to the customer while maintaining their policies?
  • Passengers need to be aware of the rules and regulations during any jet charter flight, but it may be especially helpful to know the safety parameters to be followed when flying by private jet. We believe that all evoJets customers should be well-equipped to evaluate the vital safety information of any possible charter service providers for their private travel plans, because for us, Your Safety comes First!

In case of any questions related to jet charter safety, please call us on 877-970-5387 or Request for a Quote on your preferred choice of private jet. For more information about evoJets, our founders and team, and private aviation topics, visit us on Twitter and Facebook!

Good Food on an Aspen Jet Charter

    Thursday, December 1st, 2011

So what’s the most important part of flying a charter to Aspen: security of the aircraft, shorter wait time in the airport, or privacy of flying a non-commercial flight? The food of course! Of course safety and security are important, but what separates charter travel from other types of airline travel is the quality of dining services, and evoJets is no exception. Our services eclipse the top-flight service found in commercial first class.

Like other elements of charter aircraft travel, the menu during your charter flight is adaptable to your needs. The evoJets chef has won the Silver Fork award and will either provide a number of culinary delicacies of his own choosing, or you can request a custom menu.

Overall, this is one of the nicer features of private travel – it makes a jet plane flight go quickly. Really, it’s a fun way to fly private – and if you’re flying to Aspen to enjoy the slopes, why not make your travel to Aspen a complete tourist experience – both on the ground and in the air.

To this end, we can also help with transportation to and from the airport as well. Our aim is to make your travel to and from Aspen as seamless and comfortable as possible. When you consider how much a five star meal costs in an on-the-ground restaurant, our designer catering services is actually a bargain – as you’ll be dining on gourmet food thousands of feet in the air ! But the quality of the food is only as good as the quality of the chef, and we are confident that our culinary services rivals and exceeds the dining options of other charter services.

Please feel free to request information about our off site catering services and custom menus. And if you wish to charter a private jet with evoJets, please call us on 877-970-5387 or Request a Quote for your preferred choice of private jet. For more information about evoJets, our founders and team, and private aviation topics, visit us on Twitter and Facebook !
