The Cessna Caravan is popular the world over as a reliable, single turboprop engine aircraft that can land on virtually any type of surface. Its main landing gear and large, rough-field tires are designed specifically to absorb rougher landings on grass, gravel, and unprepared airstrips. Many Caravans have floats for water landings as well, and skis are also an option.The Caravan’s cabin is unpressurized. It can seat up to 14 passengers or carry 340 cubic feet of cargo, or a combination of the two. Many aircraft have underbelly cargo pods for even more gear.
